At Karasu, we believe great cuisine is born from different perspectives coming together.

Rooted in the traditions of Japanese yakitori and inspired by Latin techniques and flavours, our style is our expression of tradition, creativity, and individuality. We honour the craftsmanship behind authentic yakitori while embracing new ideas to create an experience that is distinctly our own.

Our approach begins with the ingredients. We carefully source premium chicken, prepare every bird fresh in-house each day, and grill each cut over Binchotan charcoal, one skewer at a time. Every detail matters; from the way we prepare each ingredient to the moment it reaches your table.

At the heart of Karasu is an intimate chef’s counter seating just 14 guests. This close-up setting invites you into the craft of yakitori, where every skewer is prepared and grilled before you, creating a personal dining experience shaped by precision, fire, and the rhythm of the kitchen.

Born from Toronto’s multicultural spirit, Karasu brings together cultures, techniques, and perspectives through a shared passion for exceptional food. Our space is designed for guests to slow down, connect, and experience yakitori in a new light.

Honouring tradition. Embracing new perspectives. One skewer at a time.
